Hostal Barbacedo

BARBACEDO GUESTHOUSE is in the village of Mijares, in the region known as the Tiétar Valley. It is in one of Castile-León´s most beautiful spots, surrounded by mountains, woods and upland rivers.

Our guest house is a modern building dating from 1982. It was completely refurbished in 2003 and has a 2 star rating. It is a bit of rural luxury, ideal for you to get away from it all with your family.

The Tiétar Valley, situated in the southernmost part of the province, extends east to west, in the lee of the imposing mountains of Sierra de Gredos. This area borders the provinces of Madrid, Toledo and Cáceres. It has a mild, pleasant climate, even sub-tropical in some parts. The ground is fertile, and many different things are grown (olive, tree strawberry, cherry, chestnut, fig, pine, orange, water melon, asparagus, etc.), and there is abundant wildlife (bee-eater, black stork, crane, reptiles, goat, etc.). The local people are hospitable and cheerful, the villages are stunningly beautiful and the landscapes dazzling.
